Real Experiences on Shincheonji Church of Jesus – part 1

I would like to show some experiences on Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Like before my posting, They also had prejudices in regards to Shincheonji at first. I want people who read this article distinguish the facts about Shincheonji in midst of fake news. Let’s see the real experiences to meet Shincheonji.

1st witness to meet Shincheonji Church

Hi everyone, while I am probably going to get flamed for this, I would like to share my journey and the development of my life of faith in a well-known cult.

To give you some context. This time last year, I didn't really believe in God. I accepted that there was a higher being, but whether it was God or not, I wasn't sure.

Despite being brought up in a Catholic school and learning their teachings and all the major historical events of Christianity from a Catholic perspective, I concluded that faith is pretty much a single-player game where what I do on the earth, God would judge me on my actions and me alone. So the concept of needing to go to church seemed bizarre to me. By the start of university, I had stopped going to church and abandoned my life of faith. However, as I began to start work, the need to reconnect to God emerged as I was going through a difficult time in my life. This is where I stumbled upon the Church of Shincheonji. I have never heard of them prior to attending this pericular Bible study where they taught me different concepts in the Bible. By then, I was interested where their doctrines came from so I googled some things and beheld 'Shincheonji'. So I'm reading through all the articles of brainwashing and them being manipulative but I didn't encounter anything positive about it. I thought this was strange since what they taught came from the Bible, so I continued with the classes.

Fast forward a few months, I finished their course and am a member of the church now. My faith is stronger, though some may argue its lead astray. However, to me it seems right to me and that is what matters in the end. I mean, if it is wrong, at least I am well versed in the Bible now and have a greater appreciation of God and Jesus.

I thought it would be interesting to write this up to see what people would say.

2nd witness to meet Shincheonji Church

A year ago, I asked myself, "what is my purpose?"
What I noticed is that each individual has its own definition of "purpose" and some just haven't really thought about it. Although one thing I really noticed is that each person seeks happiness in life because we believe that happiness is what fills our empty hearts. In that way we can believe that this is our main purpose in life. Once we find happiness, we make the most of it because life is indeed short.

My only happiness is my family. Life can be tough and we face a lot of hardships but you'll feel at home and at ease when you're with your family. You'll feel loved and your heart is complete. My family and I would go to church every Sunday and have lunch afterward. I still remember that we used to laugh together. I thought that I've never been so blessed to have such a wonderful family and I don't need to ask for more because I already have what I need. I feel complete.

Until several years ago, my Father was diagnosed with Liver Cancer. And that is when our lives start to fall apart. Our smiles have changed into frowns and tears as we watch our Father struggling to fight his illness. And he fought bravely until his last breath. Through this experience, I realized that anything can really happen and our happiness is only temporary. At that time, I'm losing hope, I no longer see a purpose in life and I'm lost. At some point in my life, I stop believing that there is a God.

But then I came across the Church of Shincheonji.

I've decided to search for this purpose because I knew my Father wouldn't want me to shrink and be too comfortable with my own bubble. He would want me to keep walking. So I searched for this purpose that might last for a long time, there must be more than just simply being satisfied with what I have.

A friend encouraged me to study the Bible together and know more about God. At first I wasn't sure if I should pursue and I was really shy and antisocial. The teachings I grew up with in Catholic churches is definitely different from the teachings I've been listening to in this class and I found it really interesting.

As I continue on studying the Bible, I've become brighter, more confident and have become more determined to learn. I've discovered the things I never thought I could do and discovered things that I never really thought of before or haven't really learned. I also find it really amazing how we can find logical answers in the Bible. And I've seen and heard answers in the scriptures that I believe might give me the answer to what is really my purpose in life.

After finishing the course and being a member of this church, I noticed I've changed. I've become more determined to improve my life of faith, have become more productive or more involved in so many things and I no longer caged myself in my own bubble. And I also learn to love people, love myself and especially; love and value God and Jesus. People may have made rumours about Shincheonji Church saying that it's a cult but their teachings made me see the value of the words written in the Bible and also, their teachings encouraged me and gave me the reason why I should build a deeper connection with God.

This life of faith and being a believer really changed my whole perspective of life. I realized that I couldn't be satisfied with what I have but continue to search or seek for our purpose in life. I mean, there must be a reason why we are here, and there must be a reason why God created us, humankind in the first place. Shouldn't we seek for answers and not let ourselves be stuck with our own bubble? This is why all this time, I'm really motivated to learn the scriptures with Shincheonji church so I can the answers to my questions. Including what is my purpose in life.

What about you? Have you ever thought of searching for your purpose in life? If you haven't, then it's time to pop that bubble and start finding answers.

  2. Words from Sincheonji have truth and contain the reality that is true as prophesied. Therefore, the words of Shincheonji to form a new country, not the appearance of the previous world, are true.
