1. Why Europe Bible Seminar?
Over 7,000 participants, including approximately 1,000 pastors, attended the Shincheonji Europe Bible Seminar held in Paris, France on June 15 (local time).
This Bible Seminar was held in response to numerous requests from pastors in Europe seeking revival of European Christianity, and was a part of the '2024 Shincheonji’s Bible Seminar by Continent’ that began in the Philippines on April 20th.
2. How has the European Christianity changed?
According to data predicting the future Christian population by the Center for World Christianity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in the U.S., the Christian population in Europe increased to 560 million in the 2000s, but stagnated this year (2024) and will actually fall to 490 million in 2050.
Along with modernization and industrialization of the society, Europe began to move toward secularization. Teaching based on the Bible in the church dried up with the rise of liberal theology.
I hope this Europe Bible Seminar to serve as an opportunity for the revival of the European churches.
3. Chairman Man-hee Lee: "Understand Revelation and teach it to your church members"
Prior to the Bible seminar, there was a discussion session under the theme of ‘the role of pastors in spiritual enlightenment of modern Christians.’
Following discussion session, Chairman Man-hee Lee said, “God’s work is accomplished according to the Book of Revelation, which cannot be added to or subtracted from. We (everyone who listens to this lecture) must know who I am in the Book of Revelation.”
He emphasized that “I hope that all of you (pastors) will understand these words and teach them to your saints. You must not add or subtract the book of Revelation and must teach your own church members.”
A pastor from Poland also said, “It brought tears to my eyes to see European pastors and believers becoming one. I want to spread this word to more people. Please tell me how I can spread it to many people.”
I think it's incredible what's happening in this seminar, and it's only by the grace of God that people of faith, who have never known each other outside of their own churches, are coming together like this.
God will lead the way. It may be embarrassing and painful to expose your ignorance, but it is clear that God will give you something greater.
