Shincheonji Volunteer Group, "Pink Cloth with Love" with "Door2Door Healthcare"

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group has worked several voluntary services also in this year:)

The Pink Cloth with Love, Delivering side dishes to 10 families is "Heartwarming"

The Cheongju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group carried side dishes with love in the pink cloth to 10 senior citizens who live alone and recipients, making the atmosphere heartwarming.

On the occasion of the New Year's Day, the volunteer group delivered hand-made side dishes such as stir-fried pork, white seasoned bean sprouts, and Korea style meatball to 10 families.

Grandmother Ok-soon Kim (assumed name), who received a side dish, said, "The side dishes are so to my taste and I spread rumors to neighbors," and "I always eat well with excitement, as if I were to open my lunchbox on a picnic day when I was young. Thank you so much."

"It's not easy to cook at home and outside, but when I see older people welcoming me every time, I promise to make it harder," said a volunteer who participated in the event.

Jae-jun Byun, brand leader of the Cheongju branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, said "I wish you to have a Happy New Year with love and sincerity through the Pink Cloth" and "This year, we will be a group of volunteers who deliver love to the community through consistent volunteer work."

‘Door2Door Healthcare’ and other initiatives are ‘positive models’ of steady love in action

Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Western Busan and Yangsan branches hosted its seventh 'Door2Door Healthcare’ event at Saha-gu Veterans Hall, Busan, on 30th March.

Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Western Busan and Yangsan branches, which have been striving for the development of local society for the benefit of all people, carried out numerous acts of service including basic medical check-ups and health advice for 40 underprivileged youth and foreign workers who are often exempt from receiving medical aid, for a period of two hours starting from 2:30pm.

In particular, the Western Busan branch signed an M.O.U. with the Association of Korean War Veterans' Saha branch (Chairperson: Gyunam Joh), and has been continually working to improve local residents' health including men of national merit and promoting friendship, which is a wonderful society initiative.

On that day, the group carried out its love for society by providing calisthenics, medical check-ups, ear-acupuncture and hand-massage programs necessary for healthy living.

A representative of Shincheonji Volunteer Group said, “This event was only a small gesture, but I really hope it helped improve the life of the old and younger generations from marginalized backgrounds. Moving onwards, we will continue to carry out volunteer works that will benefit all levels of society.”

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer is putting its love for its neighbors into practice through fundraising initiatives such as ‘Helping marginalized neighbor’, ‘Traffic Safety Saver’, ‘Protect the Green Nature’, ‘The Pink Cloth Delivering Warmth’, ‘Kimchi Donation for Needy Neighbors’, ‘Hair Cut and Style Volunteering’, ‘Blood Donation campaign’ and ‘Wall Painting Stories’, among others.

  1. Shincheonji Volunteer Group is the largest Korean non-governmental organisation operating in the Republic of Korea active in disaster relief, blood donation, Korean War veteran support and regional development and public service campaigns serving hundreds of thousands of people. A beautiful example of putting one's love for one's neighbour in action
