Shincheonji Church of Jesus' Feast of Tabernacles Service

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman: Man Hee Lee) held their 'Feast of Tabernacles' service.

The General Assembly of Shincheonji Church of Jesus held their 'Feast of Tabernacles' service on the 14th; one day before the actual feast day (15th). Chairman Man Hee Lee preached during the service, and 12 tribe leaders, 24 department heads of the General Assembly and many workers of duty from all branch churches joined the service at Gwacheon HQ which was broadcast to all branch churches.

The Feast of Tabernacles is a Biblical feast commemorating the tabernacles (tents) provided to the Israelites during their 40 years in the wilderness after the Exodus, decreed as a ‘Lasting Ordinance’. It was held during the harvest - after the farming season - as a fruitful offering of crops to God. Shincheonji Church of Jesus observes it as an annual feast to commemorate the services held on mountains and fields after having left the secular church.

Chairman Man Hee Lee explained the meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles in the era of the Old Testament, saying: “We must think about today’s Feast of Tabernacles and not let our thoughts keep us in the past. The Bible refers to Egypt as ‘flesh’. Today, we have been harvested from secular religious orders (flesh), and come to The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony recorded in Revelation chapter 15.”

Chairman Lee added: “The Old Testament is a copy and shadow of the future. Likewise, the Israelites who escaped Egypt offered harvested fruits to God to commemorate the Feast of Tabernacles. The principle was the same in the eras of Noah, Moses and Jesus’ first coming. In every era, God began a new era whenever the previous one became corrupt. People come out from the old (harvested fruits) to the new by overcoming and escaping the old era.

Chairman Lee said: “We learn the Bible in order to live according to its teachings. What is more important than keeping an annual feast is living and acting according to the Bible. We must not forget the bloody history of the martyrs, and we must fight and overcome self-interest so that we can live eternally with God, and serve Him, at The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus observes four annual feasts: Passover (January 14th), the Feast of Tabernacles (July 15th), the Feast of Harvest (September 24th) and the founding of its establishment (March 14th).

  1. Shincheonji Church has been created according to the words of the Bible and celebrates the four feasts accordingly. This is truly hopeful.
