Shincheonji Held The 3rd “End of COVID-19” Online Prayer Meeting
"Let religious people from all over the world pray together on the same day, at the same time, at your respective places, for the end of COVID-19 virus."
Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony held an online prayer meeting for the government, medical staff, patients, bereaved families and the public, who are praying for the end of the novel coronavirus infectious disease.
Shincheonji Church of Jesus proposed that all religious people who agreed with the idea of the 3rd Global Religious Union Prayer Meeting, which was held non-face-to-face at 3 p.m. on the Nov. 15th (Korean time), should join together. It was broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of Shincheonji. Many people wishing to the end of the virus participated.
At the suggestion of Chairman Man-hee Lee, this prayer meeting was organized for the development of effective and rapid treatment ahead of the massive plasma donation of 4,000 Shincheonji congregation. In particular, it meant that religion should take the initiative in overcoming the crisis beyond each denomination and religion. Furthermore, it meant that all religious people should become one and pray beyond the walls of religious circles, denominations and religions to overcome this COVID-19 disaster.
Chairman Man-hee Lee said, "There are so many people suffering from COVID-19 especially in February, when our congragation were infected, and many citizens suffered a lot. We should actively pray to God for the end of COVID-19 and for the suffering of the country and the people," and "Also, let's pray that religious people around the world will gather their hearts and get out of this disaster quickly."
Since the beginning of the spread of COVID-19 in February this year, Shincheonji Church has been praying for the end of COVID-19, the safety of quarantine officials and medical staff, and the recovery of patients.
"The intention is to pray together for the rapid development of the treatment and the end of COVID-19 ahead of the third group plasma donation involving 4,000 Shincheonji congregation," he said. "We will do everything we can with a responsible attitude until the end of the COVID-19."
Earlier on September 2 and 16, the first and second prayer meetings were held at the suggestion of Chairman Man-hee Lee.
