On commemoration of the foundation of Shincheonji Church of Jesus

  

  Shincheonji Church of Jesus does not hold the commemoration service of its foundation in this year. All worship service is replaced with online service and there will be no assemblies and meetings including the commemoration service until the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is contained. Also, congregants who are not examined of COVID-19 cannot attend the worship service after the spread of COVID-19 is contained. The relation of a church and a congregant is like parent and child, there is nothing important than the health and safety of congregants in view of a church. Thus, Shincheonji Church of Jesus clearly determined that there was no reason for a church to resume a worship service and a meeting under the condition that many congregants were suffering from COVID-19. (There have been no a worship service and a meeting from the confirmed case no. 31 in Shincheonji’s Daegu Church to now.)        

 

   Shincheonji’s Thaddeus Tribe noticed, before closing congregants’ self-isolation in Daegu and Kyeongbuk on March 11, △ prohibition on the whole assembly and meeting after release from self-isolation, △ prohibition on using mass facilities ,and △ cooperating with Daegu City, Southern Office, and police in case of the resident in special controlled area.

 

   Especially, Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “Do not contact the congregants waiting for hospitalization at home and live a completely isolated life.” and “Do not enter closed churches and all related facilities.” And when a person violates it, the person will be submitted to a disciplinary measure by the level of the church.

 

   As some congregants were released from self-isolation, Shincheonji Church of Jesus will practise health control and social distance from each other including clear prohibition on meetings for local residents not to be anxious. It is an action for not only local society but also our congregants. Until COVID-19 is contained, Shincheonji Church of Jesus repeatedly defines to cooperate with the quarantine authorities.

 

On deletion of the worship video of “Patient 31” in Shincheonji Daegu Church

 

   On February 18, Daegu City took an internal CCTV video of Shincheonji Daegu Church by USB. Specially, on same day, the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Daegu City, and Southern health center confirmed that confirmed case no. 31 weared a mask and used a hand sanitizer on the first floor.

 

  On the cause of the spread of COVID-19 in Daegu Kmadi hospital being a Shincheonji congregant

  

  Today (March 14), Daegu City clarified by epidemiological survey that the correlation between the first confirmed A in Kmadi hospital and a Shincheonji congregant B released as an outpatient was poor. According to Yonhap News, A was seen of a suspected symptom on February 14 and comfirmed of COVID-19 on February 22. As a result of the survey of the church itself, Shincheonji congregant B visited to Kmadi hospital on February 22 and was confirmed on February 24. We'll let you know as soon as we get more details.    

 

On test refusal

 

   Not only about cooperating with the quarantine authorities, Shincheonji Church of Jesus noticed that when no screen, no service even after churches goes back to normal for congregants’ health and safety.

  

  Particularly, Shincheonji requested that workers in medical, sanatorium, and multiuse facility must be examined spontaneously even in symptomless and all congregants should be examined.

 

   As these measures, Shincheonji congregants have asked examination to screen clinic, but some are sometimes rejected because mild case needs to be examined first. The same goes for health care workers.

 

   Please be careful not to report that our congregants in hospital and sanatorium is not being deliberately tested.
