[Bible Books Summary] Overview of Joshua

 

  The Bible is a Christian scripture that is believed by about 2.4 billion people (33%) out of 7.3 billion people, and has been distributed to about 6 billion people, 80 percent of humanity. It is best-selling book but is considered one of the least readable. So I post to answer questions about the Bible as a whole. I’m going to run a series of 66 books of the Bible:)

 

Who wrote Joshua?

 

  The Joshua is a book that records a series of steps by Joshua, Moses' successor, to lead the people of Israel, to conquer Canaan, the land of promise (Chapter 1 to 12), and to distribute the territory God gave to the peoples of each tribe (Chapter 13 to 24) to achieve what God promised to give to the ancestors of Israel.

Numbers 13:30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, 'We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.‘

Numbers 14:6~9 Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and said to the entire Israelite assembly, 'The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the LORD. Joshua 6:22~23 Joshua said to the two men who had spied out the land, "Go into the prostitute's house and bring her out and all who belong to her, in accordance with your oath to her." So the young men who had done the spying went in and brought out Rahab, her father and mother and brothers and all who belonged to her. They brought out her entire family and put them in a place outside the camp of Israel.

Joshua 2:1 Then Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim. 'Go, look over the land, 'he said, 'especially Jericho.' So they went and entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab and stayed there.
