[Bible Books Summary] Overview of Judges

  The Bible is a Christian scripture that is believed by about 2.4 billion people (33%) out of 7.3 billion people, and has been distributed to about 6 billion people, 80 percent of humanity. It is best-selling book but is considered one of the least readable. So I post to answer questions about the Bible as a whole. I’m going to run a series of 66 books of the Bible:)

Who wrote Judges?

  The Judges is a book that chronicles about 350 years of history from the time Joshua settled the people of Israel in the land of promise (Canaan) to the time Saul, the first king of Israel, took the throne. Othniel, Ehud, Samgal, Deborah, Gideon, Dola, Jail, Jephda, Ipsan, Elon, Abdon, Samson, etc. were engaged as judges.

Main characters in Judges

  The Judges consists of a cycle: Crimes by the people of Israel → God's warning → Crime without repentance → Judgment and punishment by God who mobilized the foreigner’s army → Repentance of the people of Israel → Salvation through judges → Crimes again over time.
